Numeron – Road To Valhalla

Label: Tragedy Productions / Meuse Music Records
Release Date: April 28th, 2023

Taking flight from the brilliant, gleaming peaks of 2021s Void album, Numeron have evolved into Atmospheric/Post Black Metal with their second album Road To Valhalla.
Aggressive Blast Beats, Black Metal atmosphere and genre-typical vocals are mixed with calmer interludes and epic melodies which rather represent the Melodic Death Metal genre. And there are some smooth grooves of a Rock-Doom act as well – and I’m talking about the first song only here 🙂 Well, this kind of mix can describe the album as a whole, where the focus of the tracks vary – some are more Aggro-BM, others more Melo-Death – and the vocals hold the intensity level of Primordial.

Recorded at the Orvius Soundlab and mixed and mastered by Febri Antonia (Dusk In Silence, Technikill etc) Road To Valhalla sounds quite European, sublime, with the soft, freezing power of deep drifted snow. In other words, if you like the Norwegian stuff, you’ll definitely enjoy this one. Listen to Blood in my Vein, for example.
However, for my taste there is too much reverb on the voice, which messes up the positive overall impression of this output considerably.

Line-up:
Agatha – Drums
Galih – Guitar
Ayok – Bass
Lufti – Vocals
