Just listening to this one you might think this was made in Scandinavia, but no, it’s a band from Regensburg, Germany, pulling off a Melodic Death Metal that will easily survive a genre ”Elk-test” 🙂 Burden Of Life have been around since 2004, making a name for themselves throughout the German metal scene with their versatile sound, winning the Metal Only Band Contest 2011. Their third release ”In Cycles” proves indeed to be worthy for every respectable headbanger’s collection. High speed attacks like the title song (check out the hilariously entertaining video below) as well as more epic-hymnal approaches like ”At The Heart Of Infinity”, which reminds me a bit of Swallow the Sun, the quartet has fully convinced me here. A CD that will definitely spin more often ”In Cycles” inside my stereo’s CD slot…
