STOOP – Beholders

Label: Bugbite Records/Prismopaco Digital; Release: 01/04/2016

Italian 5-piece SCOOP have been around for a long time and have amassed a pretty impressive back catalogue. Alternative, acoustic, indie rock, all titles the band have been given, but there’s something more than that. Easy to listen to, but with darker roots, melancholy and a touch of psychedelia, it would appear this band have spent their time together producing something rather breathtaking. Whatever your genre of choice, I am certain there is something in this EP for everyone.

Standout track – The Path starts with a simple but foot tapping bass-line. Adding subtle acoustic guitars and some brass. It builds, it winds through musical lanes and then it spits you out, winding back down to a dull roar of a beautiful acoustic solo.
