Clawed Forehead is an international alternative rock band based in Brno, Czech Republic. Five young people from Iran, Czech and Slovakia who share the same passion for music. They got together and created a unique formation of vocal, violin, two violoncellos and drums with additional instruments like guitar, Irish flute and others. The original music style of Clawed Forehead is a fusion of alternative rock and elements of world music represented mostly by Nordic and Oriental melodies. And this mixture is absolutely appealing. If you like Apocalyptica or In Extremo (or the like), you will definitely this band and this CD. The sound is amazing, so clear and natural that it seems you have a string ensemble sitting in your living room. And the songs have something very special and appealing; there is only one track where the violin sounds a bit too much like ”toothache” to me. This CD has found its way into my player quite often recently, and will definitely continue to do so. Well done!
