Elandør – Loveless Mind

Their newest release, Loveless Mind, is already the fourth longplayer of Elandør . This is not the first time, I hear about them. I know one or two songs of the band and I quite like them. The band is dedicated to Gothic Rock and they compose their songs either in English or in German. Elandør’s music is a mixture of the usual guitar, bass and drum parts, refined with electro sampling, keyboard passage and the contributions of new violinist, Indra. On Loveless Mind, most songs are in English and although they are all quite simple in structure, singer Markus and the rest of the band are able to convey lots of emotions. So, the music is done to immediately fall in love with it, everything’s very harmonic, still, there’s something missing, the icing on the cake, something that makes the band unique. I wouldn’t blame the vocals or the music, they are good, it just doesn’t knock my socks off. This is because I’ve heard this music a million times before.
