Kati Rán: “Anything can be an inspiration”
Kati Rán is a Dutch vocalist, musician, songwriter, and producer and is described as a genre pioneer within the Dark Nordic Folk community. In our extensive (almost) 1h interview she talks, for example, about her new full-length release ‘SÁLA’, the development of her style, her travels and the people she has been cooperating with and why it took nine years to complete the recordings. She explains how just the sound of knocking on a door can be turned into song material, or a random chat: “Some people might not even be aware that they have helped shape the album!” Enjoy.
