Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi

PG-13   2h 32min    SPOILER-FREE

Wow – WOW – WOOOOOOOW !!!!

On a scale 1-10 – it’s a 12!!!  And this might be enough as a review of Episode 8 of the Star Wars saga …

A lot of people totally enjoyed Star Wars Episode VII – The Force Awakens and Rogue One, just like me, and still, this movie surpasses both of them. You’ll be flabbergasted, blown away – I can promise you that. Although this is the longest movie in the entire saga with 2,5 hours it will still feel like “way too short, wanna see more!”

A roller coaster ride of action and emotions, well-known-character development and new-character introduction, plot development and plot-twists… there’s stuff to laugh and stuff to cry. And even those new cuddly characters turn out to be adorable (not at all annoying for adult fans, as the trailer might have suggested). Not to mention the gooseflesh-inducing visuals, this epic imagery, the stunning cinematography … Director Rian Johnson is also responsible for the script, and he fully succeeded in continuing and developing George Lucas’ universe. Congratulations, this is a masterpiece which will be highly appreciated by Star Wars fans worldwide.

Don’t forget to bring tissues! I managed bravely until the end, but finally the dedication to our princess Carrie Fisher (RIP) was a bit too much for my self-discipline …
