Forever Still are a project from Denmark, consisting of vocalist Maja Shining and Mikkel Haarstrup, playing all the other instruments. Supported by a live guitar player, they have been touring for three years. Now they release their first album, which was also produced, mixed and mastered by Mikkel.

Describing the music of the duo is actually quite simple: Take Evanescence, remove all the catchy parts and add a stadium like production. That’s Forever Still. Or you could also say: They play modern Hard Rock with no edges or thorns and zero catchiness (the only exception: ‘Awake the Fire’). Everything is played quite nicely, but nevertheless hard rocking elevator music.
