Girish And The Chronicles interview podcast: The spirit of the 80s
What do we actually know about Indian music scene? Not much, to be honest, the majority of people associates India with Bollywood and all these musical movies with a lot of dancing and singing.
And like a ray of light in the realm of darkness, we got Girish and the Chronicles. Four incredibly talented guys who look like they came directly from the 80s.
The band consists of Girish Pradhan on vocals and guitar, Yogesh Pradhan on bass, Suraz Karki on lead guitars and Nagen Mongrati on drums.
Girish and the Chronicles was formed in 2009 and released the first album in 2014, but the most worldwide recognition and success they gained during the last few years: They shared the stage with such a big names from the 80s like Guns N’ Roses, Skid Row, Nazareth, Bonfire, Rage. Now they are doing a massive European tour, rocking the stages and bringing back the spirit of the 80s.
The band tells us more about that:
What is so special about these guys? Well, not every day you find a band that can take you on a rollercoaster back to the 80s. The sound, the lyrics, their shows and their amazing look – they have everything that we loved so much about the 80s hard rock / glam metal bands. If Skid Row and Loudness had children together, that would be definitely Girish and the Chronicles. It’s unbelievable to find such a rare gem and from faraway India.
Once you see their live performance, you will fall in love. Their energetic shows, charisma and high professionalism are going to blow your mind.
So, if Girish and the Chronicles are coming to your town, don’t miss the gig!
