Graveworm – Killing Innocence

After eight long years, the South Tyrolean extreme metal institution GRAVEWORM is finally
returning with their ninth studio album “Killing Innocence”. It’s remarkable, considering that it was founded in 1992 by Stefan Fiori (vocals) and Stefan Unterpertinger (guitar). It’s quite a long time ago that we’ve seen their live shows and interviewed them for our student radio project “For Those About to Rock” (which is still alive & well & now globally accessible!!) Graveworm is powerful as ever and has not lost any energy over the years. ItÄs hard to believe that Stefan is indeed a very kind person, hearing his in-human growling. Those 10 songs present their very own blend of thrash, black, gothic and death metal, brutal but still catchy (Where Agony Prevails) and many are driven by an infectious groove (A Nameless Grave, We Are The Resistance).

With this album, it’s diversity and nicely balanced structure, the band has reinvented themselves once again, remaining true to their style, adding a modern twist to their sound. Therefore a must for fans of extreme Metal.
