Get your Finland emoji!
That’s what we have been waiting for – a Headbanger emoji! Coming from – where else? – Finland. Or to be more precise, a web presentation of this most Metal country of the world, named thisisFINLAND, produced by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and published by the Finland Promotion Board. And even more, there will be a set of more than 30 stickers which should point out the distinctiveness, the weirdness but also the strengths of this Nordic nation.
Finland is the first country in the world to publish its own set of country themed emojis, not without a certain self irony, so it seems … The first three are revealed: the Headbanger, the Sauna and the Unbreakable (Nokia 3310) – Design: Bruno Leo Ribeiro.
More will soon be published as the 2015 ThisisFINLAND Christmas calendar – a new one every day – at http://xmas.finland.fi/ . In the meantime we can guess what might be coming next – reindeer? Santa Claus? Salmiakki candy? Angry Birds? Stratovarius’ puking Elk, a Heartagram or Childen of Bodom’s Reaper?
