Lost Society – Braindead

As I had the pleasure to listen to the new album already in November 2015, I can keep this review short…

Braindead could be seen as the Black Album of Lost Society, who before have rather focused on high speed attacks. The first track I am the Antidote shows that those young Finns take their music to a different dimension – ear candy riffing, heavy but slowed down, a groove headbangers will appreciate. However, less speed does not mean less powerful, and you get to appreciate all those little details or insane soli a bit more. The speed freaks will have their share too, with Riot, Mad Torture or Hangover Activator. (More about every song HERE ) The Pantera cover PST88 rounds up an album which is not only channelling Old School Thrash, but also taking it further – just like the band itself has developed.
