Live

Preview: Leprous back on tour in winter!

Leprous are back! With their album “Melodies Of Atonement,” the Norwegian prog visionaries opened another fascinating chapter at the end of 2024 and are finally bringing their incomparable live energy back to the stages of Europe. They will be supported by special guests Gåte and Royal Sorrow. Fans in Germany can look forward to six exclusive shows in November – an experience not to be missed. Since their formation in 2001, Leprous have proven that they never repeat themselves.

With each release, they explore new soundscapes, break down genre boundaries, and thrill fans with a unique blend of intensity, virtuosity, and emotional depth. “Melodies Of Atonement,” their eighth studio album, marks another bold step forward: more stripped-down, direct, and uncompromising than ever before. The orchestral elements give way to a sound that focuses entirely on the band’s interplay. “For us, this album is the strongest we’ve ever made,” says frontman Einar Solberg. “We wanted to concentrate on the essentials, on our strengths, and convey the emotions as purely as possible.”

The result is an album that feels fresh and modern, playing with electronic elements while channeling the brute energy of earlier works in a new way. The new album is harder than its predecessor “Aphelion,” but not in the classic metal sense. Rather, the music unfolds its weight exactly where it is needed. Anthemic songs like the first single “Atonement” or “Silent Walking Alone” promise haunting live moments in which melancholic beauty and raw power combine to form an explosive unity.

Anyone who has ever seen Leprous live knows that they are no ordinary band. Their shows are more than concerts: they are an emotional rollercoaster ride, a mixture of technical perfection, unbridled energy, and Solberg’s unmistakable voice, which captivates every room. From atmospheric melancholy to unbridled power, Leprous take their audience on a journey that touches them deeply and lingers long after. With “Melodies Of Atonement” and a new, powerful setlist in tow, this tour will be one of the most intense and impressive the band has ever played.
