Frontiers Rock Festival 2025: United in the name of Rock

April 25 – 27, 2025, Live Music Club in Trezzo sull’Adda, Italy

I guess every real hard rock and metal fan knows the Frontiers record company (Frontiers Music). It’s an Italian record label that produces the biggest amount of hard rock/metal bands not only all over Europe, but also in the world. Basically if you look closely, all the coolest bands signed up with this record company. As Mike Tramp said during his performance at Frontiers rock festival: “Nowadays there is only one record label that produces the real music, cares about decent music and remains true to itself.” And I think we all can agree with this statement.

Frontiers does not only produce the majority of the coolest bands, but also organizes a kick ass festival. For a long time the Frontiers rock festival has been one of the most famous and important events for hard rock/80s metal fans all over the world. And it’s incredible how many people from different countries come here every year. Unfortunately after 2019, this fantastic festival took a long break and left a lot of music fans sad and longing to have it back.
This year in April, Frontiers Rock Festival finally returned: Three incredible days full of music and fun, 21 artists from different parts of the world and lots of happy music fans.

I was lucky to witness 2 days of the 3-day-festival and it was truly a magical experience. On the second festival day (April 26th) we had a fantastic international mix – Cassidy Paris from Australia, Girish and the Chronicles from India, Chez Kane from UK, Crazy Lixx from Sweden, FM from UK, Treat from Sweden and Winger from the USA. Some of those bands have played in Italy already, while for some it was a first time ever. It felt truly incredible to encounter so many bands from so many different countries. Each performance was something special. And talking about fans, I have no idea how it was possible for this venue to host all these crazy rock lovers. Live Club is an indoor area, with some bars and tables outside. And it was barely possible to squeeze through the crowd, whether you wanted to be indoors or outside. What else to expect from a totally sold out festival?

On the third and final day (the 27th) the crowd was a little bit smaller, but still the venue was properly filled with enthusiastic rock fans. And what a great international line up we got – Seventh Crystal from Sweden, The Big Deal from Serbia, Chilean singer Ronnie Romero with his band, Marc Storace’s band from Switzerland, Irish singer Robin McAuley with support of Italian musicians, Danish-American Mike Tramp’s White Lion and Harem Scarem from Canada. Another day full of fantastic musicians and great music. And I have to admit, I have never seen so many people bursting into tears at a festival. But Mike Tramp definitely knows how to get to the deepest part of your heart. I’ve never seen so many adult men crying and also my colleagues photographers and I could not help it, we were standing there and crying together.

This festival experience was something truly special and unforgettable. During these 2 days I’ve seen so much joy, happiness and hugs, alongside with tears, and witnessed an incredible union of people in the name of rock. The Frontiers festival is indeed one of the most interesting and special to visit. I really recommend it to everybody, make plans for next April – come to Italy and the Frontiers Rock Festival.
