VOLA and the fear of being alone

Our video interview with VOLA vocalist & guitarist Aster Mygind

VOLA is a Danish Progressive Metal band, inspired by many genres, from 70s Prog Rock to modern Electronica, Industrial and Extreme Metal. The band’s 4th studio album ‘Friend of a Phantom’ has been released in November 2024, only a few days before this interview was recorded.

Aster tells us more about this album, the dark themes in his songs, art as therapy and as shared experience, a way out of what might be our deepest fear: being alone.
