Preview: Folkfield Festival 2024
Due to the cancer that Schandmaul singer Thomas Lindner had to battle, the Folkfield Festival had to be postponed by one year to 2024. After several exhausting operations, chemo and radiation therapies, Thomas Lindner finally returns to his band. His will and his enthusiasm are great and the band is really looking forward to their captain coming back on board. Welcome back, Thomas!
But the treatment has left its marks and as much as the band is looking forward to being on stage with Thomas, his vocal strength will not quite be enough for this year just yet. That’s why Schandmaul have hired old companions for the 2024 dates to support Thomas on vocals.
You can look forward to Georgij Makazaria (formerly Russkaja) and Marco Klingel, who has been Thomas’ vocal coach for music productions for many years and has been a good friend of the band ever since. Georgij will be supporting Thomas and the band at the Folkfield Festival and there will also be several special guests.
There will also be a medieval market and the opportunity to camp.
