Inception of Eternity – Into Darkness

Inception of Eternity deliver their debut with “Into Darkness” and a variety of styles, a mixture of Gothic Rock, Symphonic Metal in Scandinavian style and medieval influences, or better influences of German medieval Rock.

Thorsten Eligehausen is the mastermind of this project, responsible for production, playing the instruments and the song writing. He has already founded, produced and successfully established other projects, e.g. Cradle of Haze, Eli van Pike or Schandpfahl, and was the driving force behind erfolgreich in der Szene etabliert. The American singer Ken Pike was invited into the team. Pike is also a member of the project Eli van Pike and is also a well-known figure through his own projects Absolon, Firesphere and brand new Blutlaich.

The record provides a good mix of catchy melodies, plus an acoustic and one instrumental song. The latter features the guitarist Marc Vanderberg as guest, who is also a member of Eli van Pike. The song “Children from Hell” is perfected by the German singer SINtana.

My personal fave of this album is the song “Father”, which is featured as original and as acoustic version.

All in all a well-done debut which should be highly appealing to all fans of Gothicrock and Medieval Rock.
