Chris L. Svensson – Lost & Found

Label: Vegna Music    Release: August 2020

A bit more than a year ago, we have received the last record of Chris L. Svensson, “North Meadow Drive”. The follow up has been released in August and features the title “Lost & Found”, a very calm and quite contained album. It’s acoustic-only, which Svensson says is very close to him. People who listen to the album and close their eyes will get the feeling of sitting at a camp fire and listening to the nice sound of Chris’ voice. Sometimes the songs are very melancholic and go straight to the heart. At times this makes it difficult for me to listen, because it makes me quite sad at times. You can hear that Svensson opens up his heart to the listener. My favorite is “Three Minutes left” that tells the story of a man going to the gallows and about what he will never be able to do, when he’ll be hanging from the gallows in the evening. Next to Love, Death, Alcohol and Cigarettes he also sings about Cowboy topics. 😉 Also “Frozen” is a very nice and more joyful song with some positive outlook. Nice and just inviting to sing along. There are also some up- tempo songs on the album that bring out the more joyful sides cowboy lifestyle to the listener. Once more this is a wonderful record which takes you to far away into dream worlds and which sometimes gets a little melancholic too.
