Sidebürns – Too Loud

Dr. Music Release Date:07.02.2020

Katja, Ralf and Ronny are the three rocking souls behind Sidebürns and with “Too Loud” they release their second album. The title comes from the evening they where kicked off stage at a Biker party, because they were…. tooo loud …….yes, even Bikers are no longer what they have been ?

“Too Loud” is inspired by bands such as Motörhead, Iron Maiden and a little bit of Punkrock. The two guys and the girl (on bass) focus their music on the basics: good sound that creates a good mood, raspy Whisky voice and heavy Drum and Bass lines. The lyrics are about wild party nights and what else happens when you had a few too much.

“From here On” reminds at the beginning very much of Motörhead and one can clearly hear that the Germans got inspired by this band. Ralf Sidebürn is not the best singer, that’s why all the songs have a bit of a punk attitude. The raspy voice fits to the sound but won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. Music-wise they include the one or the other good groove, for example “Mr.Sideburn” which I think is the best song on the record. “Too Loud” is a pure Rock album and clearly for people who like it raw. For me the certain something is mostly missing in those songs and it’s just not my cup of tea. People who are into Old School Rock, however, could really like this album.
