Dynazty – The Dark Delight

Label: AFM Records Release Date: 03.04.2020

«The Dark Delight» is already the fifth record of the Swedish Top Musicians of Dynazty. They all are touring with other bands around the world, singer Nils Molin with his friends Amaranthe, Bassist Jonathan Olsson with Pain and Lindemann, which guitarist Mikael Laver is also a part of. And he then also plays at Joe Lynn Turner together with guitarist Love Magnusson and drummer Georg Härnsten Egg, and these two also play with Dee Snider. There we go, confused? Doesn’t matter, it seems in every successful band somehow  a person from the North is involved.

Dynazty prove that they don’t necessarily need these big names and that they can write great music themselves. Record after record they improve their skills and Nils Molin convinces with his clear voice again and again. The second song of the album “Paradise of the Architect” brings a smile to my face, because  I have to think at Eurovision Song Contest right away….yeah there’s something of Metal ABBA in the song. “Hologram” then is a uptempo ballad which is also my favorite of the album. Then this one is followed by “Heartless Madness” – again a Keyboard melody that reminds me of Eurovision. Ruslanas “Wild Dancers”, actually. Whatever, the sound brings a good mood, sends you on an emotional roller coaster ride and has you hooked on this ear candy for days. The Swedes just know how to write music history and Dynazty deserve an entry with their album “The Dark Delight”. Great guitar riffs, great melodies and a singer that gives all, you can hear in his voice how much fun he has.
