De Lirium’s Order – Singularity

Label: Inverse Records release: April 26th 2019

De Lirium’s Order have been around for quite a while, since 1998, making their mark as creative, experimental technical death metal band. The last founding member, guitarist Juha Kupiainen, has gathered a new line up from the acts like Abbath, Omnium Gatherum and Raskasta Joulua to realize the new Singularity album. The work took 7 years altogether, as it also features a string of prominent guest musicians, until the album could be mixed at Sonic Pump Studios by Tuomas Yli-Jaskari and Juha Kupiainen. More about it in our video interview with the band

In my opinion the band picked the right time as it seems that extreme progressive metal has reached a bit more mainstream appeal, when e.g. thinking about Ne Obliviscaris. De Lirium’s order is another act who unites tough stuff, technical death metal, blast beats and other extreme sounds with soft melodic elements. Hence I hope that also this album will receive wide recognition from Metal audiences for its diverse and creative appeal. The visually awesome video here should say it all about the album so I don’t need to struggle with words any longer:
