Sinplus: This is What we Are

Release: 20.01.2017 Label: I&G Productions, DIGEM WORKS AG, Odyssey Music Berlin

Curious about how the guys of Sinplus from Losone have developed further musically, I listen to the sounds of their new album, This is What we Are. What I notice immediately, is how grown-up and smooth their music has become – full of variety and with a dash of almost every musical genre there is. In addition, Gabriel Broggini’s voice sometimes sounds so whispery-sexy that you think Enrique Iglesias himself is behind the microphone. It’s clear, both vocally and musically that guys have taken a big step forward. It’s way more sublte than before, more harmonious and each song is as catchy as the flu.

Even if I tried, I couldn’t find a bad song on the album. Personally, I like Feel Love and In Aria best. The latter is an Italian song, which I had wished for a long time ago. The duet, Y&I, with US singer Mickey Shiloh, is also something very special. All in all, the album’s ten songs will give you goose bumps from first to last second. This third album puts Sinplus into one league with Coldplay & Co. Hats off!
