Metal from the South: Pussy Metal Crew

As the club named ”Pussy Metal Crew” is mostly active in their home area Southern Austria (Carinthia) and publish on their website entirely in German language, I keep it short:

The club was founded in 2011 in order to celebrate Metal, to visit festivals together and to make new friends   – they visited pretty much all of the major festivals in Europe together, e.g. Hellfest- France, Download Festival – England, Blastfest – Norway, Brutal Assault – Czech Republic, Gods of Metal – Italy, Graspop – Belgium. Their major interest, however, is to support small local festivals; and when 5 years later the club expanded to 2 dozen members, they decided to organize events themselves. Therefore – if you are a Metal band and interested in having an underground club show somewhere in the Austrian Alps, contact the Pussy Metal Crew!

Another reason to contact them might be their latest project “Metal from the South”, a documentation of the Metal scene in Carinthia in book form, which should cover the history of bands, festivals, fans, clubs, meetings etc from the late 80s until now. So if you have been at legendary festivals in Carinthia or nearby, either as fans or as a performer, like  “Eine in Teich”, “Sauzipf”, “Hell over Vellach“, “Rock the Lake“ or “Krawallhalla” and could provide photo material, anecdotes or news paper clips, please write to     pmcbandmanaging@gmx.at .

reckless and merciless dictator, so KNEEL! In other words, editor-in-chief, translator, website and ad admin, "Jane of all trades" - - - addicted to books (everything between Lord Of The Rings & quantum physics) and music, mainly Metal made in Finland. Furthermore, there's painting, drawing, movies, theater... so you can expect some variety on this website too. MA Master of Arts, English and American studies & Media communication = completed two full studies parallel within 5 years; very proud of my achievement - a bit later in life thanks to a scholarship - as a working class girl in a highlyconservative-romancatholic nation...
