The Murder of My Sweet: Beth out of Hell

Label: Frontiers Records, released: 21.08.2015

„Beth out of Hell“ is The Murder of My Sweet’s third album. Three years ago, the Swedes released their last piece, “Bye Bye Lullaby”. In between these two records, singer Angelica Rylin published her solo record, “Thrive”. For their latest output, TMOMS stayed true to their style but added a bit more heaviness. Still, one could think their music is a movie soundtrack or a musical but on “Beth out of Hell”, they abandoned almost all pop-py elements from their music, and substituted it with harder drums and heavier guitars. Angelica’s voice sounds much better, more powerful and versatile than on the previous records – and I really like it. It would take a 5-page review to talk about every single song. It’s a fact that this is the band’s best album so far. Smooth transitions between the songs, great melodies and really good lyrics as well as harmonies make this album a must-buy. Clearly, The Murder of My Sweet managed to close up with genre greats like Epica, Evanescence and Nightwish. Now, they only have to promote themselves and their music to reach the right people. Musically and vocally, they did everything right. A great album!
